Position: Tool Room Technician
Type: Permanent
Hours: 8.00am – 4.30pm (Mon-Thur)/ 8am – 1.30pm Fridays
Salary Bracket: £18,000 - £20,000


Our client, an engineering company and a global leader in their field, with a manufacturing site in Northern Ireland and are seeking to recruit a tool room technician to join their team.


Responsibilities:

•Repair of electrical and mechanical equipment within the site •Installation of new equipment •Contribute to the overall efficiency of operations by identifying preventive maintenance tasks for the equipment and maximizing uptime of machinery •Comply with quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures to ensure all duties carried out in a safe manner •Any other appropriate duties as required

Requirements:

•Have served a recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline •Fully trained and competent in the use of engineering equipment and tools •Have an aptitude and interest in the repair and maintenance of machinery •Experience in pneumatics would be an advantage •Experience in hydraulics would be an advantage •Understanding of the electrical control mechanisms used in the operation of machinery would be an advantage •Experience in fabrication and welding would be an advantage •Ability to work on own initiative is necessary
