Building Employer/Employee work based replationship
Many individuals feel underpaid and not looked after by their employer for all the hard work they do, a huge number also believe that their work goes un-noticed and would like to get appreciated for that.
If you would like to get more from your employer, simply arrange an appointment with them and do explain the situation to them, so that they can understand what you are going through. This meeting will both help you and the employer.
We have seen on many occasions’ employees joining unions to let their employers know of their wishes, it can be understandable to do just that when your employer disregards any issues you have raised to them, or simply doesn’t do anything at all.
Going through Redundancy
The Government always sets new rules and statutes for companies to abide by, the introduction of:
- Employment Rights Act
- Data Protection Act
- Health and Safety at Work Act
- Equal Pay Act
- Human Rights Act
- National Minimum Wage Act
- Race Relations Act
- Sex Discrimination Act
Legislations are not there to be abused; the creation of legislation is to protect both individuals as well as organisations by abiding with the rules and guidelines set out.
It is important to note that there have been many cases where employers have mistreated employees due to a number of reasons. However there have also been occasions where employees have created situations with their employer leading to them being made redundant.
If you feel that you’ve been made redundant without proper cause, then look to contact a legal advisor, the best place to do that would be to log on to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) on www.sra.org.uk.
However you can also contact ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) which is another independent government body that will provide support to employers and employees, log on to their site, www.acas.org.uk. |
